Inspired by the work of famous interior designers such as Pierre Chareau and Carlo Scarpa, Rodolphe Parente decided to study interior design and product design. He studied at Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts of Dijo, Ecole Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs and École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne.
Rodolphe Parente is in constant pursuit for sense of detail, savoir-faire and quality of construction. In order to touch the right tone for his creations, Rodolphe places the user at the center of an artistic process expressing emotions through the quality of drawing. His designs are inspired by everyday life and an intimate mixture of textures and artistic feelings.
The Concrete flat was inspired by David Lynch’s TV show Twin Peaks in order to create a functional place with a unique atmosphere. The mass concrete, intended as a finishing coat over the walls, the ceiling and the interior design, is mixed with shiny brass built-in furniture and a red mahogany marquetry floor. The concrete floating shelves are the main pieces of the place responding to the concrete kitchen. The bedroom is designed like a cabin with its shower and a dressing room made of brushed stainless steel and Chinese lacquered painting.
