Kinderkunsthaus in Munich

Written by Anne-Marie den Hertog in

You’re visiting Munich with your kids and it’s raining cats and dogs? On days like this Kinderkunsthaus in Munich-Schwabing is well worth a visit and not only for your little artist.

In the tubular floor plan of a former bottle factory various creative areas are lined up. In those areas, children can discover their talents freely and without any pressure or rules for creativity. Once a month Kinderkunsthaus also offers an open creative program for grown-ups.

The wonderful minimalistic interior design of Kinderkunsthaus was designed by Munich-bases INpuls, who didn’t go for the standard child-friendly interiors with bright colours. Dominated by white areas and many open spaces, which can be individually used you’ll also find carefully selected, beautiful furniture.

After all the hard work of painting, crafting and experimenting the sun is shining again? Just around the corner you’ll find the Englischer Garten for some relaxation.
