Dover Street Market

Written by Olivia Janssen in

London’s Dover Street Market is a unique fusion of design and fashion. Devised by Rei Kawakuba of Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons, this combination of a fashion outlet and concept store is spread over several floors. This gives Dover Street Market the feel of a massive art installation rather than a typical fashion shop, and the stores within the store add to this impression.

Creative agency UXUS is responsible for the design of the Levi’s section which had to fit with Dover Street Market’s eclectic interior design while promoting the brand’s image. Thanks to UXUS’s clever visualisation, Levi’s ‘two horse’ logo is brought to life, with a life-sized version of the two horses trying to pull a pair of jeans apart.

UXUS is an Amsterdam based creative agency that adheres to the principle of Brand Poetry: finding a balance between creative excellence and commercial success. UXUS not only designed the flagship stores of several major fashion brands, but also the National Museum shop, hotels, restaurants and company cafeterias.
