25hours Hotel HafenCity

Written by Olivia Janssen in

Inhabitants of Hamburg say it is the most beautiful city in the world. Hamburg is indeed well worth a visit. Especially the 25hours hotel in the HafenCity will do its utmost to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

25hours Hotel HafenCity is a true hommage to harbour life. You will find lots of elements and materials from the shipbuilding industry, like the Hapag containers next to the reception desk. Maritime stories of dangerous passages, romantic rendezvous and painful farewells are being told on the wallpaper designed by Berlin illustrator Jindrich Novotny. The complete stories can be read in the cabin’s logbook. All cabins have a rope ladder serving as a shelf and a workplace including mini bar in the form of a travel trunk. On the rooftop the sauna is build within a rusty container with stunning views over the HafenCity harbour.

Responsible for the industrial, yet inviting interior design is the local team of Stephen Williams Associates in cooperation with Eventlabs and freelance Creative Director Markus Stoll, as well as interior designer Conni Kotte.
