25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin

Written by Olivia Janssen in

Several years ago, this less fashionable counterpart to the bustling East Berlin was renovated and became a top destination for any visitor. This is not least due to the Bikini Berlin shopping mall and the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin.

The interior of the hotel was designed by Werner Aisslinger of Studio Aisslinger and is part of a chain of designer hotels across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Aisslinger aimed to convert the post-war historical building to transform it into an urban jungle, with warm colours, natural materials, large windows and lots of concrete. This style is reflected in the 149 rooms, but also in the hotel’s Neni Restaurant and Monkey Bar, appropriately named as both the bar and Jungle rooms have unobstructed views of the monkey house of the Berlin zoo.

The adjacent Bikini Berlin is a concept mall with sixty national and international boutiques, concept and flagship stores and extraordinary catering – one of the hippest places in Berlin.
